Music

Music classes are held once each week for students in kindergarten through grade 5. The Elementary program features singing and instruments such as the recorder and hand chimes. In addition, middle and high school students have the opportunity to participate in school choirs and ensembles. Choir is offered as an enrichment class. HCA choirs have several performance opportunities each year.

The biggest performance opportunity for the high school choir is during HCA's two "Belle Nottes." Belle Notte is a special night for adults to enjoy a nice evening of good music and good company. Belle Nottes are hosted by the Junior Class as a fund-raiser.


Selected students from the high school choir are also able to join the Honors Choir. The Honors Choir participates in a program sponsored by ACSI which seeks to improve and broaden students' musical horizons.
